Solar Decathlon 2011











The winner of this year's Architecture contest at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon is WaterShed, an energy-efficient home (shown above), designed by students at the University of Maryland.














Second runner-up (above): Purdue University team's INhome















Third runner-up (above): Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) team's Meridian First Light House
